Residence permit cost for Serbia citizens in Türkiye (2026)

Serbia doesn't sit in any of the USD-denominated tiers on the goc.gov.tr fee page. Instead, Serbia citizens are charged the lira-only base tariff: 348.10 TL per day for the first month (capped at 3,359.90 TL), plus 2,232.30 TL for each additional month. Because the tariff is denominated in TL, the USD/TRY rate doesn't affect this number - but inflation-driven mid-year revisions can.

Common questions

How much does a Turkish residence permit cost for Serbia citizens in 2026?

Serbia citizens pay the lira-only base tariff: 348.10 TL/day for the first month (capped at 3,359.90 TL), plus 2,232.30 TL for each additional month. For a 12-month permit, harç alone is roughly 27,915 TL. Add 964 TL card fee and (where applicable) 9,376.40 TL single-entry visa fee for the government total.

Do Serbia citizens have to pay the single-entry visa fee?

The 9,376.40 TL single-entry visa fee applies to Serbia citizens only on first residence-permit applications, and only if they entered Türkiye visa-exempt (no e-visa, no sticker visa). On extensions or renewals it's not charged. The Foreign Ministry sets per-nationality reciprocity exemptions that aren't published on the goc.gov.tr page - if your case might fall under one, Mikato will confirm before you apply.

Can Serbia students or work-permit holders skip the residence fee?

Serbia citizens themselves aren't on the harç-exempt nationality list. But student and work-permit holders of any nationality - including Serbia - are exempt from the residence harç under Law 492 Article 88: the lira-tariff harç drops to zero. The 964 TL card fee and (where applicable) the single-entry visa fee still apply.
